Open Athletics in partnership with Pride Sports and Up And Running Stores is holding a very special Red & Wild fundraiser.
The Alexandra Park 5K Run, is an officially certified run which generally takes place every first Sunday of the month. The 5ks have been taking place since July 2005 and they are organised with the collaboration of the Friends of Alexandra Park. The course is traffic free and inside the park – tarmac surface.
The runs are under uk athletics rules and the course is a certified accurate 5k course by UK Athletics. The race is ideal for novices, but it is also a fast course for experienced runners. The 5k course consists of 3 laps to the outmost paths inside the park.
You can enter on the day or in advance by post, at least 2 days prior to race day. If you enter on the day please note that registration closes 30 minutes before the start time - no registrations will be accepted after 11am.
The race will begin at 11:30am on Sunday, 2nd December 2007. The entry fees are as follows;
£4 for unattached runners; £3 for runners attached to UK Athletics; £2 concessions (full-time students, under 18s, unwaged, and senior citizens)

Any donations to Red & Wild are greatly appreciated and volunteers will be present on the day to accept your donations.
There will be prizes for those who come 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the race and all participants will receive refreshments.
